Paul Hixson, CFP®
Born September 8, 1963, Paul is a native of Lake Charles, Louisiana. Paul received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Baylor University in 1985 with a major in Finance and a minor in Insurance. After graduation he attended McNeese State University and received an Associate of Science degree in 1987. He was employed by Magnolia Financial Corporation whose business included the acquisition and operation of insurance companies and funeral homes in 14 states. Paul served on the company’s Board of Directors, which added to his knowledge of investments and the financial services industry as a whole.

Paul joined Financial Management Professionals, Inc. in 1995 when he, his wife, Sandy and their oldest of two daughters moved to Lake Charles from Alexandria, LA. In 1996 he completed the professional education program of the College for Financial Planning in Denver, CO. He has received the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) certification from the International Board of Standards and Practices for Certified Financial Planners. Of his areas of community service, church involvement is most important to him. As a member of First Baptist Church, Lake Charles, he served as deacon, vice chairman of the Board of Trustees, adult Sunday School teacher, taught in Royal Ambassadors, and served on various committees including the Finance Committee. He recently served as a trustee on the Louisiana College Board where he was a member of the Business Affairs Committee and Chaired the Investment Subcommittee and he currently serves on the Hamilton Christian Academy School Board. Paul is also a member of Profit/Loss Christian businessmen’s organization and the Lake Charles Kiwanis Club. He currently serves on the Kiwanis Club Board of Directors and heads up the Kiwanis Reading is Fundamental Program at the Lake Charles Women’s Shelter. Paul has been quoted numerous times in the Lake Charles American Press and appeared on KPLC TV, on various financial issues.
